The standardized inspection reports include ratings and comments for optical condition, key systems & components (like chassis, cabin, starter, engine, batteries, hydraulics, undercarriage, attachments, options, …) , dimensions of the machinery, nr. of hours performed, and dozens of pictures.

BIDDING FAQ
-
Can I increase my maximum bid amount?
Absolutely! Simply place a new bid and specify your new maximum amount. You may increase your maximum bid amount at any point during the auction, whether or not you are the lead bidder.
-
Can I place a bid in a foreign currency?
All bids and offers are displayed in the item’s currency. However you can change the currency (choose between Euro (€), USD or GBP) for information purposes only.
-
Can I retract, cancel or decrease a bid?
No, all bids in MrMachinery auctions are final and binding. You can always increase, but can never decrease your maximum bid amount at a later time.
-
Do I have to bid in whole increments?
Yes. All bids must be in whole increments. This increment is always displayed at every item. You can always bid more than one increment above the current highest bid (by using MAXIMUM BID), but your bid amount must be a whole bid increment.
-
How can I tell if I'm the winner of an auction?
At the end of the auction period, (and if the Reserve Price is met in the case of Standard Auctions), the auction will be won by the highest bidder at the price he proposed (the “Hammer Price”).
If you are the highest bidder when an auction ends, you will receive an “Auction Won” email notification confirming that you have won the auction and asking you to contact the seller for payment & removal.
If you are the highest bidder (Buyer) at the end of the auction (and if the reserve price is met in the case of Standard Auctions), you are obliged to complete the transaction with the Seller. Bidders agree that manual or automatic bidding on the Mr Machinery website is the legal equivalent of a firm purchase order.
-
How does the bidding process work ?
Buying: absolutely free of commisions
A. Maximum Bid
- When an auction starts, enter the maximum price you are willing to pay and click on MAXIMUM BID. The system will automatically increase your bid by the bid increment, only if you have been outbid, until it reaches your MAXIMUM BID. If you are the highest bidder when an auction ends, you will receive an “Auction Won” email notification confirming that you have won the auction and asking you to contact the seller for payment & removal.
- If several users insert the same Maximum Bid value, the system awards the first user to do so. Also, Maximum Bids are automatically invalidated in case of new higher value Maximum Bids. If this happens, you will receive an email from us informing you are overbid, so you can increase your maximum bid, if desired.
Example:
- Starting Price = 35,000€
- Bid increment = 500€
- User X inserts Maximum Bid of 50,000€
- User Y inserts Maximum Bid of 40,000€
The system simultaneously records and invalidates user Y’s Maximum Bid (40,000€) because user X has a higher Maximum Bid.
The Current Bid automatically jumps from 35,000€ to 40,500€ (user Y’s Maximum Bid of 40,000€ + Bid Increment of 500€); with user X as High bidder.
B. Make an offer
- Please note the "Make an offer" function can only be used for "Standard Auctions": enter the price you wish to pay and click on MAKE AN OFFER. If the seller accepts your offer, the auction closes. You will then receive an "Auction Won" email notification confirming that you have won the auction and asking you to contact the seller for payment & removal.
- If the seller declines your offer, you will be notified. You can make a new offer only if your previous offer has been declined or if it expired (offers expire automatically after 2 days).
-
What are the advantages of buying my machine through a certified auction?
- All the machinery is inspected and a complete inspection report is issued
- We guarantee you the accuracy of published information and certify the quality of machines being sold
- all financial transactions are handled through a secure bank account
- free and immediate quote for the freight of the machinery bought
- qualified seller network
-
What happens if two maximum bids tie?
In the case where two maximum bids are equal, the earlier bid takes precedence.
- Where can I review the bid history?
-
Why did I immediately get outbid after placing a bid?
The system automatically placed a bid in response to yours, because the current high bidder had specified a maximum bid amount greater than the amount you submitted.
-
Why does the bid jump so quickly sometimes?
This is because the auction system automatically responds to bids by other users by confidentially placing bids on behalf of the lead bidder, up to his or her maximum amount. Whenever a valid bid is placed in an auction that already has at least one bid, the bid will rise to cover the maximum amount specified by the new bidder, or to put the new bidder in the lead.

A Reserve Price is a hidden minimum price that the seller is willing to accept for an item. In a Reserve Price auction, the seller is only obligated to sell the item once the bid amount meets or exceeds the Reserve Price. A seller can lower, but cannot raise, the Reserve Price.
All Reserve Price auctions are clearly noted with a message next to the current or opening price. This message will either say "Reserve not met" or "Reserve met".
